ChatGPT has shown a significant ability to understand and articulate emotions, according to a recent study. - source: www.neurosciencenews.com
However, my argument that taking into account the word embeddings' flaw against emotional intelligence - I depict and argue against this research.
Although the study supposedly used a recognized emotional intelligence model of assessment, namely an Emotional Awareness Scale (LEAS), to evaluate ChatGPT’s responses to various scenarios, the human brain itself is much more complex than Large Language Models (LLMs).
And the good news is a simple test to assess your own EQ can support my thesis here.
Spend one hour on ChatGPT, writing questions and reading the answers.
Next, take a break and spend an hour reading a book.
Afterward, pick a subject you have learned about the most, either from ChatGPT or the book you chose to read.
Have confidence in your own emotional intelligence, as it is your ability to understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as those of others, in short.
Next, upload the article - hopefully, you typed it onto ChatGPT - and just give it the following AI prompt:
"You are an emotional intelligence professor at Harvard University and need to assess one of your student's papers. Use the following assessment criteria: Spelling and grammar = 10% marks, Structure = 10%, justification = 20%, Analysis = 40%, evaluation, and the rest on clarity."
Hopefully, ChatGPT understands the prompt, and you can perhaps leave some comments down below that might help other folks, especially students.
Anyhow, I am feeling a bit worn out from writing today, so I guess this piece is unfinished. Thus, why don't you sign up and write a better or follow-up article to this?
See you next time, folks.
